    Description

    Lot of 7 Vintage Ronson Penciliter, 3 are 14k gold filled, 1 Rhodium Plate.
    Three of these are Ronson Penciliter manufactured between 1935 and 1948 and was the first combination of a one-motion wick lighter and super-fine propel-repel mechanical pencil. This combo was patented by Louis V. Aronson in the United States Patent Office on the 11th of June 1934.
    Two models of the Ronson Penciliter were made:
    Black writing grip
    Pearl green writing grip
    The writing grip was made of plastic and the body from brass and then chrome plated (different textures on the upper part). The removable pencil unit contains an eraser and a compartment for spare leads.
    Marked below the lighter snuffer on the 2 pearl green grips reads:

    The other 4 are second generation of the Ronson Penciliter was manufactured between 1948 and ca. 1957 in the USA.
    The removable pencil unit contains an eraser and a compartment for spare leads.The Penciliter was a huge success in England and the U.S.
    Marked on the the top of the lighter body of 3 of them reads:
    RONSON "PENCILITER"
    1-20 14 K. gold filled
    The remaining one reads:
    RONSON "PENCILITER"
    RHODIUM PLATE. It is also engraved PETE
    All pencils have their original lead. I have not tested any of these lighters but all mechanisms seem to be in working order.
